Philipp Kolland practices in the field of public economic law and has specialised, among other areas, in chemicals and substances law. He advises companies along the entire supply chain on regulatory requirements, particularly in connection with REACH, CLP, biocidal products law, and other sector-specific substance regulations. He also advises companies and associations at both national and European level in advance of legislative changes and accompanies them through ongoing or upcoming consultation procedures.
A further focus of his practice lies in advising companies in the security and defence sector. He supports both manufacturers and suppliers regarding complex product law matters, ranging from compliance assessments and market surveillance proceedings to specific exemptions and approval and handling obligations relating to sensitive products, e.g. such governed by the War Weapons Control Act (KrWaffKontrG).
Philipp Kolland represents clients in administrative proceedings, particularly where complex technical and legal matters require precise and robust solutions in a sensitive and highly regulated environment. He supports clients not only preventively, but also strategically throughout proceedings. This includes, among other things, representation in disputes concerning product conformity, market access and regulatory assessments, assistance in safety-relevant certification or approval procedures, and advice on regulatory differentiation and liability questions.
Philipp Kolland serves as a practice-oriented point of contact for his clients, presenting complex technical and legal matters in a clear and accessible manner and developing solutions in sensitive and highly regulated environments.
